Performance-based pay, honest pricing, and no “hard sell” quotas so you can focus on doing the work right.
Build a Skilled Trade Career You’re Proud Of.
Omaha Drain is a fast-growing, award-winning plumbing and drain company in Omaha. We hire people who want more than just a job — we train TruTechnicians who earn more, learn more, and move up.
A Career, Not Just a Job.
The right shop changes everything. At Omaha Drain, the system is built so good people can win — in their paychecks, their skills, and at home.
Structured training, ride-alongs, and TruTech systems help newer techs grow and experienced techs sharpen their craft.
Clear paths into lead tech, install, estimating, and leadership roles so you can grow with the company.
Tired of Broken Promises from Other Shops?
If you’ve bounced between shops that burn you out, play games with pay, or push high-pressure sales scripts, you’re not alone. We hear the same story from techs all the time.
- Slow days where you’re sent home without pay.
- “Up or out” quotas that put sales ahead of the right repair.
- No roadmap from helper to lead or installer.
- Leadership that hasn’t worked the tools in years (if ever).
We Built Omaha Drain Around Technicians.
Omaha Drain started as a drain shop focused on fixing problems the right way — with cameras, jetters, and real diagnostics. That mindset still drives how we hire, train, and pay our team.
- Leadership team that still rides in trucks and understands the job.
- TruTechnician training playbook you can follow in the field.
- We back our techs when they slow down to diagnose, not just “run and gun.”
What You Get When You Join Omaha Drain.
Every role is a little different, but these are the core benefits and systems our team can count on every day.
Earn More with Consistent Calls.
Competitive pay with clear performance structures, not mystery commissions. We keep the board full with real service calls so you can hit your goals.
TruTech Training & Modern Gear.
From jetters and cameras to trenchless tools, we invest heavily in equipment and training so you’re set up to win on every job.
Respect, Teamwork & Real Paths Up.
You’ll work with people who care about doing things the right way — and leaders who care about where you’re headed next.

The TruTechnician Way.
We talk about “TruTechnicians” a lot — because it’s how we work every call. If this sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.
- Diagnose, don’t guess. We inspect thoroughly before we act.
- Options, not ultimatums. Techs present clear options; homeowners stay in control.
- Own the outcome. If we touch it, we stand behind it.
- Leave it better. From basements to break rooms, we leave things cleaner than we found them.
How Our Hiring Process Works.
We keep it simple and respectful of your time. Here’s what happens after you click “Apply.”
Use the quick application form to tell us who you are, what you’ve done, and which role you’re interested in.
Our team reviews your application, then schedules a short phone call and an in-person visit at our Omaha shop.
For field roles, you’ll ride along with a TruTechnician so you can see how we work. If it’s a mutual fit, we’ll talk offer and start date.
What Our Team Says.
You don’t have to take our word for it — here’s how current team members describe working at Omaha Drain.
“We don’t just clear drains — we build careers. Omaha Drain gives you all the tools and support you need to succeed, as long as you’re willing to put in the work.”
“Coming from another shop, I noticed right away that calls are better organized here. I know what I’m walking into, and I’m not pressured to sell things homeowners don’t need.”
“The field and office really work together here. When we book a call, techs get good notes, we keep homeowners updated, and everyone is on the same page.”
Hiring & Career FAQs.
A few of the most common questions we hear from techs and office applicants. If you’re wondering something else, ask us during your first call or interview.
Do I need plumbing or drain experience to apply?
It depends on the role. Field positions like Plumber and Excavation / Sewer Installer typically require experience. Our Drain Cleaning Technician and some helper roles are built for people with mechanical aptitude who want a path into the trades — we’ll train the right person.
What does training look like for new team members?
Every new hire goes through our TruTechnician onboarding: ride-alongs with experienced techs, classroom-style training on safety and process, and ongoing coaching. You won’t be handed a truck and sent out blind.
How does pay work — hourly, salary, or performance-based?
Most field roles use a performance-based pay structure with guaranteed base and clear, written pay plans. Office roles (like CSR / Dispatcher) are typically hourly with bonus opportunities. We’ll walk through pay and benefits in detail during your interview.
What does the schedule look like?
We run full-time schedules with rotating on-call, especially for drain and emergency plumbing calls. Exact schedules depend on the position, but we do our best to balance workload and family time.
Do you run background checks and drug screening?
Yes. Because we work in people’s homes, all team members must pass a background check and are subject to our drug-free workplace policy.
How soon will I hear back after applying?
Most applicants hear from us within a few business days. If we’re not actively hiring for your role but think you’re a strong fit, we may keep your information on file and reach out when a spot opens.
