Replace Failed Sewer Lines Between Your Home and the Street.

Yard cleanout overflowing? Sewage in the basement when it rains? We locate the problem, dig only where needed, install new pipe to code, and restore your yard, driveway, or sidewalk as cleanly as possible.

Outside Sewer Replacement with Camera Proof.

We camera the line from inside and outside, mark the exact route across your yard, and show you where we’ll dig before the first scoop of dirt is moved.

  • Targeted excavation instead of a random trench from house to street.
  • New PVC or SDR pipe with proper slope, cleanouts, and a solid connection at the city tap.
  • Final camera walkthrough and clean restoration of soil, rock, or concrete when we’re done.
Outside Sewer & Drain Solutions

Stop Living with Yard Backups and Failing Main Sewer Lines.

When your outside sewer line collapses, bellies, or roots out between the house and the street, snaking alone won’t fix it. We design a replacement plan that protects your landscaping, respects property lines, and restores proper flow with new, long-lasting piping.

Targeted Excavation

We use cameras and locators to mark the exact pipe path so we only dig where it’s truly needed — not your entire yard.

Code-Compliant Install

New PVC or SDR pipe installed to code with correct slope, bedding, and cleanouts for future access and maintenance.

Clean Yard & Concrete Restoration

Backfilled trenches, tamped soil, and concrete patched flush so your yard, driveway, and walkways are ready for life again.

Is Outside Sewer Line Replacement the Right Move?

We start with a camera inspection and honest conversation. Sometimes a spot repair is enough; other times full replacement is the only way to stop chronic backups and yard damage.

Repeat Mainline Backups

Basement toilets, tubs, or floor drains that back up into the house often point to a broken or bellied outside main line.

Roots, Bellies & Collapses

Clay, cast iron, or Orangeburg piping in the yard can rot, separate, and let roots invade — replacement provides a long-term fix.

Driveways, Trees & Landscaping at Risk

If your sewer runs under concrete or mature trees, we’ll plan carefully to protect structures and restore as cleanly as possible.

Our Process

From First Camera to Final Backfill – How Outside Sewer Replacement Works.

Seeing equipment in your yard can feel intimidating. Our TruTechnician teams follow a tight, documented process so you know exactly what’s happening between your foundation and the city main at every step.

What to Expect When We Replace Your Outside Sewer Line.

  1. Camera & Locate: We run a camera through your main line, locate problems from inside and outside, and mark the path across your yard.
  2. Utility Locates & Permits: We call in locates for gas, electric, and other utilities, pull permits, and schedule inspections as needed.
  3. Excavation & Old Pipe Removal: We dig targeted trenches or pits, expose the existing pipe, and safely remove failed sections.
  4. New Pipe Installation: We install new PVC or SDR pipe with proper bedding, slope, and cleanouts, tying into your home and the city or septic connection.
  5. Testing & Final Camera: Lines are water-tested and camera-inspected so you can see the new pipe in action before we backfill.
  6. Backfill & Restoration: Trenches are backfilled and tamped. We restore rock, topsoil, and concrete so your yard and hardscapes are ready for final touch-ups.

Outside Sewer Line Replacement FAQs

Will you have to dig up my entire yard?

Not usually. We use a camera and locator to trace the exact path of your line and only open the sections we need to access. In many cases, we can keep excavation to a narrow trench instead of tearing up the whole lawn.

How long will I be without water and sewer?

Most outside sewer projects are completed in 1–2 working days once everything is planned. We’ll outline when water and sewer will be shut off, and we work to keep that window as short as possible.

What about my driveway, sidewalk, and landscaping?

We plan carefully around concrete, trees, and landscaping. If we must cross concrete, we’ll saw-cut, remove, and patch it. We backfill trenches, tamp soil, and restore surfaces so you’re not left with a construction zone.

Do you offer financing for outside sewer projects?

Yes. We partner with financing providers so you can spread a larger outside sewer project over predictable monthly payments. Ask your technician or call our office for current options and approvals.
