Restore Full Flow — Cut Grease, Sludge & Roots.

Hydro jetting uses up to 4,000 PSI of water to scrub the inside of your pipe. Instead of just poking a hole through the clog, we strip away years of buildup and then verify the line with a sewer camera so you can see the difference for yourself.

Why Jetting vs. Snaking?

Snaking breaks through a blockage; hydro jetting cleans the entire pipe wall. We use specialty nozzles and controlled pressure to cut through grease, sludge, and root hairs, then flush everything out of the line instead of leaving it to clog again.

  • Cuts, scrubs, and washes debris out — not just punches a small hole.
  • Helps restore pipe diameter so fixtures drain faster and quieter.
  • Ideal for kitchens, restaurants, and mains that clog over and over.

In many homes and businesses, we’ll snake first to open the line, then jet to give you a “reset” so you start fresh instead of fighting the same buildup every few months.

What’s Included

Professional Hydro Jetting — Done Right

Every jetting job is a mini project, not just a “blast and go.” From the first inspection to the final flush, our TruTech-trained technicians follow a step-by-step process to protect your home and plumbing system.

Nozzle & Pressure Selection

We choose the right hose, nozzle head (penetrator, flusher, spinner), and pressure for your specific pipe size and material — PVC, cast iron, clay, or Orangeburg — to get a thorough clean without unnecessary stress.

  • Tailored PSI based on pipe condition.
  • Forward jets to break through heavy blockages.
  • Rear jets to pull debris back toward the cleanout.
Full-Line Cleaning Passes

We don’t stop at the first sign of flow. Your technician makes multiple controlled passes to cut, scour, and carry debris out of the line — especially in low spots (“bellies”) and high-build-up sections.

  • Focus on problem areas seen on camera or history.
  • Flushes grease, sludge, and scale to the main sewer.
  • Finishes with a high-volume rinse for a clean exit.
Camera Verification Available

For many hydro jetting jobs, we recommend a camera inspection before and/or after jetting so you can see what caused the issue and how clean the pipe is when we’re finished.

  • Documented footage for future reference or insurance.
  • Locate cracks, offsets, or roots that may need repair.
  • Peace of mind that you got what you paid for.

How Hydro Jetting Works, Step by Step

Not sure what actually happens during hydro jetting? Here’s how a typical visit goes from the moment we arrive until your drains are flowing again.

1. Evaluate the Problem & Access the Line

Your technician will talk through symptoms, check which fixtures are affected, and locate the best access point — usually a cleanout, floor drain, or pulled toilet.

  • Protective floor coverings and drop cloths where needed.
  • Check venting and other drains for related issues.
  • Camera inspection recommended for repeat problems.
2. Jet, Flush & Test Your System

Once the jetter is connected, we slowly work the hose down the line, cutting and flushing debris as we go. After cleaning, we run large volumes of water to confirm everything is draining the way it should.

  • Pressure adjusted live based on how your line responds.
  • Extra attention to kitchen lines and heavy grease areas.
  • Final walkthrough so you know what we found and what’s next.

At the end of the visit, we’ll review photos or video (if cameraed), talk through any long-term concerns like roots or broken sections, and give you written options so you can plan ahead — not just wait for the next backup.

When We Recommend Hydro Jetting

Jetting is powerful, so we reserve it for the lines that truly benefit from a deep clean. Your technician will always start with an inspection and honest explanation of whether jetting makes sense or if another option is better.

Grease & Sludge Lines

Kitchen lines, restaurant drains, and commercial grease lines build up a thick layer of fats, oils, and soap that a cable can’t fully remove. Jetting strips that layer and helps your pipe behave like it’s years younger.

  • Great for slow kitchen sinks and repeat grease clogs.
  • Recommended after years of dishwashing and disposals.
Recurring or “Mysterious” Clogs

If you’ve had the same line snaked multiple times and it still backs up, there’s usually something coating the pipe or hiding in a low spot. Jetting can remove what the cable has been leaving behind.

  • Mainlines that clog every year or every season.
  • Lines with scale, soap scum, or mineral deposits.
After Root Cutting & Descaling

In old clay or cast iron sewers, roots and scale grab onto everything that passes by. After cutting roots or descaling cast iron, jetting helps wash fine hairs and loosened scale out of the system.

  • Helps delay regrowth and re-clogging.
  • Pairs well with camera inspections and long-term planning.

Residential & Commercial Jetting Across the Omaha Metro

From a single backed-up kitchen sink to a restaurant grease main or apartment complex mainline, Omaha Drain has the equipment and experience to jet lines in homes and commercial buildings across the metro.

  • Respectful techs with shoe covers and floor protection.
  • Options explained before work starts — no surprises.
Restaurants & Food Service

Grease traps, kitchen mains, and floor drains are the lifeline of any restaurant. We offer one-time emergency clears and scheduled maintenance jetting to help you avoid shutdowns during busy hours.

  • After-hours and early-morning time slots available.
  • Maintenance plans to keep lines open and inspectors happy.
Facilities & Multi-Unit Buildings

Retail centers, office buildings, apartments, schools, churches, gyms, and warehouses all rely on shared drain lines. Our team can jet long runs, multiple cleanouts, and hard-to-reach sections safely and efficiently.

  • Camera locating to find low spots, breaks, and tie-ins.
  • Detailed documentation for property managers and owners.

Signs It’s Time to Consider Hydro Jetting

Not every clog needs a jetter. But if you’re seeing any of these patterns around your home or building, a deeper clean may save you money and stress over the long run.

Slow Drains All Over the House

If multiple fixtures are slow or backing up — especially on lower levels — it usually points to a mainline or larger branch line with heavy buildup that snaking alone can’t fully fix.

Repeat Backups in the Same Spot

That one kitchen, laundry, or basement line that always seems to act up after a few months is a classic jetting candidate. There’s often a layer of grease, sludge, or scale clinging to the pipe that needs to be removed.

Bad Odors & Gurgling Sounds

Strong sewer smells, gurgling toilets, or bubbles in nearby drains can signal partial blockages and venting issues. Jetting can help restore flow and reduce the trapped waste that causes odor.

Not sure if jetting is the right call? Our techs always start with diagnostics and will tell you if a basic cable cleaning, spot repair, or full replacement is a better investment for your situation.

Hydro Jetting FAQs

Is jetting safe for my pipes?

When it’s done correctly, yes. We choose the nozzle, hose, and pressure based on your pipe size, material, and condition. For older or fragile lines, we may recommend a camera first, lower pressure, or even a different approach if jetting isn’t safe.

Do I still need a camera inspection?

A camera isn’t required for every job, but we strongly recommend it for recurring problems, older homes, or commercial lines. Camera footage shows what caused the issue (roots, grease, cracks, bellies) and lets you see the improvement after jetting.

How is this different from snaking?

Snaking breaks a channel through the blockage so water can move again, but it leaves most of the buildup on the pipe walls. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scrub those walls and wash debris out of the system, which often means fewer future clogs.

How long does a hydro jetting appointment take?

Most residential jetting jobs take 1–3 hours on site depending on access, pipe length, and how clogged the line is. Commercial and multi-unit projects can take longer, especially if we’re jetting multiple lines or performing full inspections.

Will hydro jetting fix every sewer problem?

Jetting is excellent for soft blockages like grease, sludge, paper, and small roots. It can’t “fix” a broken, collapsed, or severely offset pipe. If we find structural issues on camera, we’ll show you and talk through repair or replacement options.
