Why Your Curb Stop & Stop Box Matter.
Your curb stop and stop box are how water gets shut off to your property — in an emergency, during a repair, or when work has to be done on the main service. When they're damaged, buried, or seized, nobody can shut the water off safely.
Notices usually get issued when the utility can't access or operate the curb stop, or when the stop box sits too low, too high, or is broken. The notice will state its own deadline; the practical answer is to get it corrected rather than let it sit.
Our team locates, exposes, and evaluates the entire assembly — from the valve itself to the box and the connections — so the recommendation is based on what's actually down there.
- Correct depth and alignment for the stop box at finished grade.
- Replace broken rods, keys, or seized curb stop valves.
- Address main water service leaks found during the excavation.
